Daniel Young, MD Received the Charles D. Sherman Award
Daniel Young, MD, Past President of the Broome County Medical Society (BCMS) was honored with the Charles D. Sherman Award for support of medical students. The award was presented to Dr. Young at the 210th Annual House of Delegates of the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY). The event was held on April 16, 2016 at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown, NY.
Charles D. Sherman, MD was an obstetrician/gynecologist practicing in Rochester, NY. He was especially supportive of medical students and encouraged their involvement in organized medicine. This award was created in his honor.
Daniel Young, MD is board certified in Family Medicine and has been a member of the BCMS since 1989, where he served as President in 1997-1998. He has been a delegate to the MSSNY for many years, is a delegate to the American Medical Association and is currently on the MSSNY Board of Trustees.
